You do not need a tour to visit the Labirinto della Masone. The adult ticket costs EUR 20 at the desk or on the Labirinto's own site, and it covers everything: the maze, the permanent collection and the temporary exhibition. What does the Labirinto ticket include?
The bamboo maze, Franco Maria Ricci's permanent collection and the temporary exhibition, on a daily ticket with unlimited exits and re-entries that day.
There is no separate ticket for the museum: exhibitions without their own ticket are included, and the autumn 2026 exhibition on Milo Manara is in the standard price. Re-entry means you can leave for lunch in Fontanellato or a visit to its castle and come back the same afternoon. The ticket does not include a guide, food or transport, and private events can close some areas on some dates without a refund.

Only at weekends and on holidays, when the official site suggests booking a time slot online. On other days tickets are sold at the desk, subject to availability.
Online tickets are booked for a date and time slot, and the official site says that booking guarantees your entry at that time. Changes to affiliated bookings need 48 hours' notice by email. Remember that the ticket desk closes an hour and a half before closing time: 17:30 in summer, 16:30 in winter. If you arrive later, you will not get in, even with plenty of daylight left.
Should you buy on the official site or on GetYourGuide?
The official site is cheapest at EUR 20. GetYourGuide charges about $25 for the same entry, and adds free cancellation up to 24 hours before, 5% off Franco Maria Ricci Editore books and a discount at Rocca Sanvitale.
On GetYourGuide you give your name at the ticket office and may be asked to show the digital ticket; you can go in and out all day from your booked time slot. When is the Labirinto closed?
Every Tuesday, on 25 December and 1 January, for about four weeks each January, and on a few event dates: in 2026, normal visits stopped from 3 to 7 July for the LOST Music Festival.
- Tuesdays: closed all year, holidays included.
- January break: about four weeks; in 2026 the site reopened on Saturday 7 February. The 2027 dates were not published when we checked.
- LOST Music Festival: normal visits were suspended from 3 to 7 July 2026; expect a similar pause in early July each year.
- Autumn 2026: the central courtyard is closed on 30 September and 1 October 2026, and on Friday 2 October 2026 the site closes early, at 18:00.
- Private events: they can close parts of the site without a refund; check the official calendar.

Yes: EUR 16 affiliated tickets for members of FAI, TCI and other partners, EUR 12 for school groups, and free entry for children up to 5, carers, authorised guides, ICOM members and accredited journalists.
The affiliated list includes FAI, FIDAM, TCI and Pleinairclub members, FMR Club Hotels guests, Ducato Card holders, visitors with a Palazzo Te ticket from Mantua, Fontanellato residents, one companion of an FMR Magazine subscriber, and holders of a ticket for the Bernardo Bertolucci exhibition in Parma. Groups book at [email protected] and schools at [email protected]. Journalists need to ask 72 hours ahead. Esselunga reward vouchers can be exchanged for a free ticket, except from 3 to 6 July 2026. The family tickets save a little: EUR 50 instead of EUR 56 for three, and EUR 65 instead of EUR 72 for four.
Is there a combined ticket with Rocca Sanvitale?
Not that we could find on either official site. The GetYourGuide Labirinto ticket gives a discount on the Rocca ticket, and the only package with both is a private guided day that is non-refundable.
The castle is in the centre of Fontanellato, about 5 km from the Labirinto, and your Labirinto ticket lets you leave and come back the same day. The private castle and maze day costs $223 per person, with a private guide and both tickets included; it is rated 4.3 from 12 reviews, and it is non-refundable and cannot be changed.
